Austria is a developed country with a good infrastructure. Although we need to get to the other end of the country, we can do it in just a few hours thanks to high-quality Austrian motorways. This is one of the reasons why the Austrian Alps are a favourite place of interest for hunting guests.
From the point of view of hunting possibilities in Austria, only the chamois and marmot hunting is interesting for us. Chamois is hunted in a high-altitude environment at and above the upper limit of the forest. It is possible to hunt in several hunting grounds, and I will agree with the hunting guest according to their requirements based on their fitness. Many grounds are equipped with forest roads leading almost to the places where chamois stay. The density of the game is good; you will see more chamois in one walk. Trophy quality is average compared to Romania.
Marmots are hunted for in the same places as the chamois. The number of them is extremely high. In the absolute majority of cases, the marmot hunting requires a single walk.
Hunting services are of a high standard. Hunting guides know their hunting grounds and patiently lead you to the game so that you have the chance to catch it. Accommodation can be provided in mountain huts just a few hundred metres away from places where the hunt itself takes place. In the case of higher demands on the level of accommodation it is possible to provide accommodation in accommodation facilities of a higher category. Strict observance of hunting habits and traditions is typical of hunting in Austria.
